THREE AS ONE
In an institution that encourages the creation of a new identity, the empowerment of the individual and the definition of the individual, I have a conflict between the construction of a new identity and the loss of identity of an individual as a part of his or hers affiliation to a particular religion or group. Each religion has its own unique religious objects, but in a general view of the three major religions living in Israel, I noticed that the identity of the individual disappears and encircles religious symbols that unify the entire group.
In the final project, I chose to focus on this subject and chose to explore how I, as a designer, can create one set of clothing, knitted as one piece, incorporating elements from all three religions and simultaneously creating a new identity.
