BREATHE

I WANT

TO

In this project, I designed face masks that block and seal our breath. As a cyclist in Tel Aviv city, and especially in recent years when the law requires cyclists to ride along the road, I found myself breathing polluted air from the traffic around me.

I was intrigued by how I, as a designer, could pick up a protest project against the growing air pollution in big cities, illustrating the damn confinement of breathing in our bodies as we cycle around the city. I gathered up many threads that were to be sent to the trash can, braided the wires and bonded them with various adhesives.

Technique- Wrapping threads with glue | Materials- Cotton, wool, Polyester, 10 different kinds of glue, rubber & foil
